AUTHOR
Rodrigo is an author, violinist, coffee enthusiast, and international debate champion.
He loves studying world history and social sciences, and he’s especially curious about how the values that are held by us as people, are reflected in the societies we live in.
Some of his favorite books include The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald, The Gatekeepers by Chris Whipple, All the King's Men, by Robert Penn Warren, Leonardo da Vinci and Steve Jobs by Walter Issascson, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and the Summa Theologica, by Thomas Aquinas.
When he’s not in school or writing, Rodrigo enjoys watching movies, playing soccer, taking photos, playing the violin, and competing in debate tournaments.

A Timeline of Growth

2011
AGE 3
Rodrigo started playing the violin, building early habits of practice, focus, and creativity that have influenced many parts of his life.

2015
AGE 6
Rodrigo moved to the United States, embracing life in a new country he loves and is proud to call home. This early relocation shaped his cultural identity and the person he is today.

2019
AGE 11
Rodrigo discovered a passion for debate, joining his first debate team. He has enjoyed debate, and being part of debate teams, ever since.

2023
AGE 14
Started writing Fortitude, channeling his experiences and insights into a practical guide for teens navigating life’s challenges.
BEYOND THE BOOK

Violin
After asking his parents to buy him David Garret’s Rock Symphonies and signing up in lessons, Rodrigo found the violin to be a lifelong companion that helps him focus and express himself. He has been a part of his local Youth Orchestra and occasionally plays at church in his home state, where he enjoys sharing the music and stage with peers.

Debate
After joining his first debate team, Rodrigo has excelled in tournaments, some of his awards include: Incubate National Fireside Champion (2025), Transatlantic Debate Champion (2025), Incubate Debate Northeast Fall champion (2023, 2024) Incubate Debate Madison Champion (2024) Florida Civics and Debate Initiative, 3rd Place (2024)

Soccer
Rodrigo’s appreciation for FC Barcelona was passed down from his dad and is rooted in family tradition. From a young age, he’s admired the team’s rich history and the global community that brings fans together through a shared love of the sport. One of his dreams is to one day watch a match live at Camp Nou and experience the club’s energy in its hometown.

Coffee
For Rodrigo and his family, coffee is more than just a drink—it’s a daily ritual. Whether he’s writing, catching up with family, playing a board game, or getting through a busy day, coffee is always part of the moment. Rodrigo especially enjoys a good latte, which helps him slow down, focus, and recharge. Whether at home or at a local café, coffee brings comfort and energy to his routine.
